I have been shooting for over a year now and I am ready to buy a hot shoe flash for my camera. After my last class in fundamentals I see what a difference additional lighting can make! I have a Canon Rebel xti. I have looked over the expensive flashes that Canon offers and think they would be great! But alas I am looking for something less expensive. Used or refurbished would be fine. I really don't know enough about flash photography to know where to start. Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks In Advance,

Good point Brian also they sell recondition flashes as well. Checkout Aderama.com. I was able to buy a reconditioned sb900 for 400.00 Nikon camera at Roberts. They go new for 530.00 i believe. Roberts always has a large line of Canon supplies so bring the bank with you. There our local candy store...:)

Lisa - try looking on Flickr and finding a group that is specific to your camera. I'm sure there is one. You will get GREAT advice from those groups and it is specifically for your camera.
