Read lots of photography books, learn about lighting, continue to be inspired, learn photoshop (get it first), try shooting in RAW, try to shoot in manual mode (like all the time), 2nd shoot on weddings and possibly do some on own, continue doing and learning about lifestyle portraits, and have fun taking beautiful photographs !

Hello All,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
My resolution is to learn more on studio lighting and start my business. I want to take portraits of mostly babies and children and animals.

My photography 2009 resolutions
#1 - Get my portraits right - I bought a couple used flashes off eBay for strobe use and also got some RF triggers. Whatever, I have been trying and have not perfected yet.
#2 - Get me two more prime lenses 85 or 105mm and 180 or 200mm.
#3 - Practice - get out, shoot more pictures, have fun and learn.
