This photo is a "test" shot of me practicing to be portrait photographer. I'm trying to hone my skills :o) Who's better to test on than yourself? Enjoy. Miya

This was my 1st attempt at a self-portrait just the other day. I could not get enough light in the room so I need to try it again and increase the depth of field so that my eye stays in focus.

Glad to be here and hopefully we will be a great souce of knowledge to each other.

ME being silly............
Standing on top of a mountian in Colorado (well, at timber line). Always wanted to be tall!!!!
To re-do shot, I would have included the much taller mountain in the background to create more depth.

Scruffy Robert

Here is my first attempt at a self portrait. I'm definitely scruffy today and need to shave. I took this with my new 50mm prime lens and Canon remote (which has a 2 second timer). I plan on doing a more creative self portrait soon.

Ohhhhh look at that depth of field Robert..... somebody loves his new lens... Looks like you enjoy it a little more than the kit lens :)

Great shots everyone! Keep it up!

I actually had done this a few days before this assignment.....must have been ESP ;O) I used the timer and went to town make funny faces.I think this picture pretty much says it all about me! I am not afraid to embrace my inner dork (much to the chagrin of my boys!)

self portrait

It took me quite a few shots before I had myself framed in the mirror the way I liked it.

I shot this while playing with my younger cousins on an old marry-go-round...I think I was having more fun than they were!

I even give myself that look
I really don't care for having any portraits made of me, not even if I take them myself

I know, It's a little creepy.. but I was playing with my Canon 430 exII that was attached to a hotshoe cable and just found interesting angles to use it.
