Group DescriptionWelcome here folks! contributors, members and visitors.
What is about Indigenous/TRIBAL Photos Pool?!
The group was formally organized March 08, 2005, simply with the objectives of Sharing, Learning, and Appreciating about Indigenous or TRIBE People from across the world... across culture.
What Photos do you need to share? and how you can help us!!!:
1.] Photographs that likely show anything Cultural like Antiques, Artifacts, belonging ONLY to what is uniquely Culturally defined items or properties of a certain Tribe Community or Native people. You are very much encouraged to include Tribe People' portraits or any Photos showing their lifestyles, their Identity, their music & feastivity, their native' tradition. The ff. def might help:
The terms "indigenous" & "tribal" can be understood accdg. to the def in Art.1 of the International Labour Organization's Convention 169:
(a) Tribal peoples in independent countries whose Social, Cultural and Economic conditions distinguish them from other sections of the national community, and whose status is regulated wholly or partially by their own CUSTOMS or TRADITIONS or by special laws or regulations;
(b) Peoples in independent countries who are regarded as Indigenous on account of their descent from the populations which inhabited the country, or a geographical region to which the country belongs, at the time of conquest or colonisation or the establishment of present State boundaries and who, irrespective of their legal status, retain some or all of their Own Social, Economic, Cultural and Political institutions.
2.] Please we encourage you to put brief descriptions about the photos that will describe it as a TRIBAL Photo, eg. name of tribe/antique/artifact, the custom or practice, etc. It would be informative and will help us understand more it's tribal nature.
3.] Please TAG them by Identifying their known Tribe names or Tribe location.. There are varieties of Tribes around the world and it will help us to locate them by their TAGs.
THANK you!!! to our contributors, members & visitors.
