It doesn't matter if you aren't a pro photographer, because here we value ideas and passion. So join, share your images, and become part of a great community of like-minded people.

The NIKON EUROPE Group on Flickr is part of a large, European initiative by NIKON Europe to support upcoming talent by showcasing our favourite pictures of this group on Nikon European social media channels as well as www.iamnikon.com.

A few submission guidelines

Members can add up to five images to the group each day.

We are looking for original photos, therefore please only submit photos that you have taken yourself.

Remember the work you submit to the group represents you, so we recommend that you are selective and submit your best photographs.

To allow us to look through your work, please tag your photos with the appropriate category tags: e.g. design, objects, details, macro, nature, landscapes, people, travel, places, party, fun and others.

This group is not for camera brand debates – so please refrain from starting these discussions. We’d like to keep this group focused on all great photography, regardless of camera make! The admins of the group reserve the right to remove any content that they feel is damaging or distracting from the spirit of the group.

Please read and agree to these Group Rules before submitting content to the NIKON EUROPE Group on Flickr.

The NIKON EUROPE Group on Flickr was created and is moderated by NIKON EUROPE BV (“Nikon”). This group is brought to you as part of an ongoing NIKON EUROPE campaign, which consists of social media activities and as a central hub for the NIKON EUROPE website.

We’ll be announcing interesting features in this Flickr group soon, including contests, raffles and much more – and your submissions will be part of it. By joining this group, you agree to the following Group Rules in addition to the Flickr Community Guidelines:

Adding content to the Group

1. All group members are encouraged to submit their best photos to the group pool. The NIKON EUROPE GROUP on Flickr encourages everybody to submit their pictures – no matter which camera was used to take the picture.

2. By submitting content (hereinafter called “your Contents”) to the NIKON EUROPE Group on Flickr (“Group”) you guarantee that
a) you are the actual copyright holder of your Contents.
b) any person pictured in your Contents agrees with your submission.
c) that any third-party copyright or other rights holders in your Contents agree with your submission.
d) your Contents do not and will not infringe the rights of any third party, including any intellectual property rights.
e) you will indemnify and defend Nikon against any claim or damages resulting from failure to comply with these guarantees.

3. Please share photos that you feel are your best, the ones that tell us something about you: who you are, who you want to be. Screen captures of favorites, photographs of artwork, heavily photoshopped photos, and photographs with nudity or otherwise offensive references, photographs representing any form of violence (both on human beings and animals), abuse or sexual or political offence are prohibited.

4. Nikon reserves the right to remove your submitted images from the Group at any time without prior notice. If you find one of your photographs has been removed from the Group, please do not resubmit it.

Tagging and EXIF data

5. Please tag your photos with the appropriate category tags: e.g. design, objects, details, macro, nature, landscapes, people, travel, places, party, fun and others.

6. If you are using a Nikon camera – we’d love it if you made your EXIF privacy settings to public (more info) and/or tag your pictures with the camera model name. For example: COOLPIXS220 or D3000

Discussions

7. Discussions are welcome! But – needless to say – illegal and/or offensive expressions are strictly prohibited. The NIKON EUROPE Group on Flickr is not for camera brand debates – so please refrain from starting these discussions. We’d like to keep the Group focused on all great photography, regardless of camera make! Nikon reserve the right to remove any such content if they feel it is damaging or distracting from the spirit of the group.

8. By adding your images to the Group you agree that Nikon shall have, without further obligation to you, the royalty free, fully paid up or not, worldwide, non-exclusive right and permission, to copy, publicly display, publicly perform and use on the Group website located at www.flickr.com/groups/iamnikon in any internet and/or electronic media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times, your submitted photographs (subject to the availability of your photographs(s) in the Group), your Flickr username, and titles to the photographs (if any) solely in the context of the “NIKON EUROPE GROUP” Campaign and unless prohibited by law.

9. In accordance with the (8) above, Nikon’s favourite photos from the pool, taken with a Nikon camera, may be featured on Nikon European social media channels and Nikon European corporate websites, such as www.JESUISNIKON.fr, www.JESTEMNIKON.pl and www.ICHBINNIKON.at. To “feature” according to this Group Rule No 9 means to copy, post, display and make publicly available in the context of the NIKON EUROPE GROUP campaign on the aforementioned websites.

10. In the case that we’d like to showcase your image(s) on our Nikon European websites or any other media as stated in (8-9), we will refer ((9) the URL here by amending these group rules or group description. Additionally, on the Nikon European websites, we’ll include a link back to your original photo hosted on Flickr and credit you by your Flickr username wherever possible.

11. You consent to allow Nikon to contact you through Flickr Mail regarding any request Nikon might have related to obtaining permission from you to use your content for purposes outside of the (8-10) above.
