Hi! I'm a new member here and I wanted to ask you guys if you have any good tips and suggestions for me since I will go on a trip to the Outer Hebrides (mostly, but other places as well) in a week more or less. I mean tips to get some great photos, of course. :) Thank you!

You could search flickr for photos of the Outer Hebrides for ideas of where to shoot. Ask locals where is good and when the sun sets and rises once you are there.

You can't really go wrong with South Harris - the East side is beautifully remote and rugged, and the West has the lush beaches and wonderful sunsets. I'd say Luskentyre and Hushinish are musts. I can also recommend the Skoon Art Cafe - great folk, great art and great food.

If you have a browse in my photostream there's quite a few on Harris and Lewis from last year and earlier this year that might give some ideas - just search on Harris.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. It's a lovely part of the world - hope you enjoy yourself.
