Group Description

Do you have great images which tell a story about development around the world? If so, join The Guardian's Global development Flickr group and add your photos to the group.

Guardian Global Development Flickr Group
This is the Guardian Global Development site's Flickr group, which we use alongside the site to share more development stories from our readers. We use this group from time to time to focus on a specific topic, or you can submit photos at any time and we will consider them for inclusion in the group.

We'll feature some of our favourite portfolios and pictures from the group on www.guardian.co.uk/global-development and maybe in other formats, e.g. our newspapers.

Previous focus: Education 2nd September - mid October 2011
We'd like to collect your messages and pictures from projects and countries across the world that tell a story about education.

Education features highly in the millennium development goals, but what's the world's biggest education issue? Should we focus on primary schooling or put more effort into increasing access to secondary and higher education? Should governments focus on literacy or technical skills, or on training teachers, or maybe one of the main issues is keeping girls in school?

So tell us:

* What is your message to the world about education?
* What's the world's biggest education challenge?
* What's been neglected and must come back under the spotlight?

We also want to see your development and education images, please send us your pictures from projects and countries across the world that tell a story about education. Take a look at our previous focuses below for ideas of messages on other topics.

Here's how you can get involved:
1. Write your message on a bit of paper (or an envelope, or a post-it-note, or a napkin, or your hand...or anything at all) - write it clearly so we can read it
2. Take a picture (mobile or webcam is fine)
3. Add it to the group, telling us who you are, where you’re from and what your message means to you (although you are free to remain anonymous of course if you prefer)

If you have any problems, or aren't a Flickr user, please email it to development@guardian.co.uk and we'll add it to the group for you. Please tell us a bit about yourself and your picture in your email.

*Please note: By posting your pictures here you a) acknowledge that you have created the pictures or have permission to do so; and b) grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to publish your pictures as described. Previous focus: Global Health 7th April - 24th May 2011
We asked for your messages and images on what should be the global health priorities, to coincide with World Health Day on April 7th, World Malaria Day on April 28th and leading up to the 64th World Health Assembly on May 16th-24th. A selection of these images were later used on the Global Development site in galleries of messages and images about what should be the world's global health priorities.

Previous focus: Women's Voices - 24th February - 23rd March 2011
We asked for your messages for UN Women in advance of their launch and the 100th International Women's Day celebration, in our (now closed) messages for the UN Women group. A selection of these images were later used on the Global Development site in two galleries of messages, and images of women.
