Group Description

This is a group for good quality sepia images.

The images can be of any subject that is suitable for family viewing.
So, please no nudity or suggestive images, or images depicting or suggesting any form of violence. No images depicting weapons shown in an aggressive or violent manner. Some weapons are allowed in the images, such as images of static museum displays and pictures of war and military reenactment groups, unsuitable images showing weapons will be removed.

The images must be sepia, and the sepia must cover the entire image,
these can be images that were taken as sepia in the camera, or processed to sepia in an editing program later.
Any images with any colour in will be deleted, all images MUST be true sepia images, please no images that have a splash of colour.

The dictionary definition of sepia is 'a brownish colour imparted to a photograph', I have seen many images labelled as sepia that appear to be B&W, with no hint of a brown tone, if the image does not have an obvious sepia (brownish) tint, it is at risk of deletion, keep this in mind when posting images.

The group is mainly for recent photographs, a few old sepia prints will be accepted into the group, but not too many please, DO NOT post old sepia postcards, there are groups available dedicated to those pictures.

If an image has been deleted, it will be for a good reason, so please do not repost and waste Admin time.

The group has a daily posting limit of TEN images per day, you are welcome to post as many images as you want, but when you reach the daily limit, you will need to wait 24 hours before posting more images.

JUST REMEMBER - - - THIS IS A GROUP FOR SEPIA IMAGES ONLY.

Group Rules

The Good Sepia Group

Group Rules

This group has just a few very simple rules.

(1) ALL images posted to the group MUST be sepia images.
The images can be ones that have been taken with the camera in sepia setting, or they can be images that have been converted to sepia in editing software.

(2) Images must not have any colour content at all, the sepia tone must cover the entire image, images with spots of selective colour and those that are fades between colour and sepia will be removed.

(3) Images with colour will be deleted.

(4) All images posted MUST be suitable for family viewing.

(5) Any images showing nudity and any deemed to be of a sexual nature will be removed. All images that indicate any form of violence or violent activity will be removed, or images depicting or suggesting any form of violence. No images depicting weapons shown in an aggressive or violent manner. Some weapons are allowed in the images, such as images of static museum displays and pictures of war and military reenactment groups, unsuitable images showing weapons will be removed.

(6) If an admin or moderator finds an image in the Group Pool that does not follow the Group Rules, it will be removed without discussion with tyhe member who posted the image.
However, if you feel your image was wrongly removed, send a FlickrMail to the Group Admin with full details of the image that was removed, so that it can be reviewed, admins decision will be final.

(7) I have seen images in other 'sepia' groups that are mainly B&W, and it is difficult to see any sepia content in the image.
As a guide this is a dictionary definition of 'sepia'...... "A brownish tone imparted to a photograph".
Keep this definition in mind, that is the sort of image we want in this group.

(8) The group is mainly for recent photographs, a few old sepia prints will be accepted into the group, but not too many please, DO NOT post old sepia postcards, there are groups available dedicated to those pictures.

(9) If an image has been removed, it will be for a reason, do not re-post.

(10) The group has a daily limit of TEN images per day, this is to help keep as much variety as possible in the images, and to avoid the group being 'flooded' by one person.

(11) If you contribute to the discussions, be polite at all times, keep all discussions 'family friendly'.

(12) The group is set for pictures to be posted to the group without the need for approval first, this trusts members to stick strictly to the Group Rules, if this privilage is abused Admins have the option to change the settings to require admin approval for all images.
Please respect the group and follow the rules.

If you are not sure if an image is suitable for the group, contact Admin by Flickrmail, with the link to the picture, for a decision.

One last thing - not compulsary - go to the Where are you from??? thread in Discussions and tell us what part of the world you come from.

If you are happy with these simple rules, you are most welcome to join us in the group, and we look forward to seeing all your fantastic sepia images.
