Group DescriptionGeek the Library is a community-based public awareness campaign designed to highlight the vital role of public libraries and raise awareness about the critical funding issues they face.
The campaign introduces the word ‘geek’ as a verb and draws attention to the fact every individual is passionate about something and anyone can learn more about what they geek—what they are passionate about—at the public library.
The Geek the Library campaign is brought to you by OCLC, a nonprofit library cooperative, with funding by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Geekthelibrary.org does not support or oppose any candidate for public office and does not take positions on legislation.
We encourage you to show us what you geek and/or how you support your public library, and we might feature your photo or video on our Web site.
Group RulesPostings should not serve to support or oppose any candidate for public office or represent an attempt to influence legislation of any kind.
