Group Rules

Step by step patterns only. If you wish to show a finished piece using your pattern, add a link in your post.

Please label your pattern as Original, Variation or Common-source. Variations should credit the original designer, and you must recreate all steps. No cut and pasting from other sources.

Definitions:
Original-You dreamed up the steps to doodle a new design; to a common motif; to a geometric figure; or to an object. An example of a common motif would be a henna design or Celtic knot. An example of a geometric figure would be a polyhedron or fractal design. An object would be a car or animal. The main idea is that you dreamed up the steps.

Variation: Someone else has posted steps to a design. You come up with another step or steps that make the completed design look different.

Common-source: Both the steps and design itself have been used for craft or art for so long that there is no identifiable author. An example would be tole painting patterns. It is up to the poster to be sure that they are not using a copyrighted pattern.

This site is for sharing. Post your pattern here, and you are giving permission for it to be used. The steps to a pattern may not be used commercially, but may be taught or posted elsewhere, with credit given. The doodle/tangle itself may be used both commercially and non-commercially, without credit.
