Weather and health permitting I hope to be there this year after missing last year's running day.

I think it's about time I did a little more 'road-siding' rather than riding!

Will anyone else be going?

Yes, I'll be there, hopefully photos will be up later this week. Weather forecast looks promising, although low winter sunshine can be rather challenging.

Yes - I should be there - you may notice a few of my shots in the Programme!

Another excellent day. Had to change plans a few times due to late vehicle alterations, but still managed to ride on a good variety of buses and routes. Not sure I've ever seen so many people on the buses, so many were going out full or close to it. I've selected a few of the better shots for the group, the rest are in my photostream.

I've been going to the NYD event since about 1995 or 1996, and have missed only about three or four. Over the years the event has got busier and busier: in the days before Sunday shop opening it was an altogether more quiet anorakky affair. It's pleasing to see so many members of the public taking part, but it does seem to have just about reached capacity.

I've taken many good photos in Broadway in past years but it was almost an impossibility yesterday, with so many people milling around, and so many people seemingly using fish eyes lenses, judging by their closeness to their subject matter... and usually without a thought for the poor bastards behind them who want to use a longer focal length!

This is one reason why few of my shots are taken in the Broadway.

A little bit of thought as to where the buses go to and come from in the City Centre, can give you locations that you alone are likely to be shooting at.

I prefer to get much further out most of the time but that means use of a car which 3 or 4 of us share and of course a very good knowledge of vehicle workings.

Never been to this event before, found Catherine Hill free on day park 'n ride more by accident -having come off M3 from Amazingstoke.
Thoughley enjoyed the day - atm still processing - some up on facebook and flickr .and a clipcook photo/music thing too.

Thank you to the organisers.
(i was into BR-WR (trainspotting) and life's circle seems to have taken me to photographing amongst several things buses & (again) trains (mainly locally (SR-as was).
