Hi,

I am interested in making experiments with solarisation. Like the famos picture from Ansel Adams with the black sun. I am not sure if the films of today are that "good" that there is no more solarisation possible. I tried Ilford FP4+ and Kodak T-MAX 100, but without luck.
Is there a b&w film capable of solarisation?

Best wishes,

Max,

The only film I know that is still available for this (though is all expired by the late 80's) is Kodak Extachrome.

A quick ebay search shows many rolls still for sale. It would be interesting to "test" and see if you can get something from a roll or two.

ebay: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=direct+reversal+kodak+film&...

Also try searching on "direct reversal".
