Group DescriptionThough many of us can tell stories with with just the image itself, this isn't what Pictures with a Story is all about. To be part of this group some text needs to accompany the image. This can be either about how / why you took it, poetry, description, history or even a fictional tale that goes along with it. Be imaginative!
At one point I was sharing stories of the week. These can be found in the links below, but life is busy and I haven't been able to do it lately.

Group RulesWelcome to Pictures with a Story. I hope you enjoy going through the group's photostream and enjoying, not only the beautiful and creative compositions, but also the text that goes along with them.
So that this group manages to maintain some semblance of consistency, I am including the rules before you join.
Really, I want this group to be fairly open, while at the same time not shying away from taboo or uncomfortable topics. That is an important point of stories and dialogue.
The rule than is this; while your picture may tell a story all by itself, the picture must have some sort of textual accompaniment - that is more than an indication of where or what it is- to be part of this group. The best case scenario is a paragraph about how you composed the shot, a story inspired by it, how it reflects your thoughts on creativity and photography, and / or original poetry meant to compliment the imagery.
I do not have the time or desire to enforce this with an iron fist, but for the sake of everyone's enjoyment I would appreciate if you followed this one rule. If you do not feel the need or the desire to write the accompanying story, please post in another group where the photo tells the story all by itself. I love these groups, and I am sure I will see your lovely creations there.
Thank you for your contribution and respect for Pictures with a Story!
