Group Description

Autumn in the Eastern Sierra can be every bit as colorful as New England. The Eastern Sierra Fall Color group has been created to be a celebration of the season as it expresses itself in certain portions of the Sierra Nevada mountains and surrounding areas. (Please see the group rules for specific parameters).

Eastern Sierra Fall Color Group

Group Rules

Eastern Sierra ONLY!

For purposes of this group, "Eastern Sierra" includes the eastern slopes, peaks and canyons of the Sierra Nevada from Tahoe south to the Kern Plateau as well as the Owens Valley, eastside ranges (Whites, Inyo, Glass, etc.) along with Mono Lake and Yosemite NP (including the Valley).

Please focus on outdoor Autumn/Fall color shots ONLY.

Close-ups or landscapes are fine, but minimize people and urban settings as much as possible. Wildlife in Fall color settings is fine.

No created harvest scenes, Autumn still-lifes, carved pumpkins, etc.

Please post photos and short videos only.

No art, illustrations, CGI or heavily manipulated images.

HDR is okay, but please keep it realistic.

Please tag your photos "ESFallColor".

IMPORTANT! Because of scams involving people who sign up for Flickr with the intent of ripping off other artists' work AND the fact that this group involves more personal group interaction, meet-ups, etc., You must be an active member of Flickr to join.

You don't necessarily have to have a pro account, but you do need to have quality images posted, comments on your images, contacts (not just one-way), membership in other groups, and most importantly, profile information that tells us something about who you are and your interest in photography.

The ONLY exception to this policy is if you have a website that shows your work and provides information about you and your interest in photography. If this is the case, please provide a link to your website with your request to join the group. Once you're a member, please participate actively and support other photographer's work.

The CEO (Chief Ersatz Organizer) reserves the right to change these rules and to delete photos from the group that don't adhere to these guidelines or are of poor quality.

***Again, please be sure to comment generously on the posts of other contributors.***

Thank you.
