Camera Insurance

Was just talking with an insurance agent about insuring my stuff and thought it'd make for good info for everyone.

The price he quoted me was $2.14 per $100 of insured gear per year. And that's with no deductible. Not bad for a lot of peace of mind.

Yeah definitely worth it, only thing is if something does get stolen the rates will go up from $10 a year to $125 a year. lol

look at the insurance program. or for insights or questions.

@2.14/$100 thats $578 per year for my suite.

I pay $17/month for a blanket policy that inlcudes $10K in camera equipment coverage (fire, theft, dropped in the canal, lake, river, whatever), laptop replacement and $50k or $150k in Property Damage.
Can't remember exactly.

My policy is through Auto Owners. Not affiliated with my car insurance or home owners. it was cheaper this way.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll definitely be checking that out!

And $578, huh? That's a lot of camera equipment. Lol! Or just really expensive stuff. I was recently looking at memory cards and they have 'em for $500 for one 64 GB one now. Whew. Why did we ever get into photography? Haha! Reminds me of when I had my piddly little film camera when I was 16 and thought it was too expensive just to buy film. Haha!
