If I were to get a 7D, what are the best lenses that Canon has in the 12-105 range.

Remember, I said, 'IF"! And it is a big IF.

rich's 16-35 f2.8 mk2 i solid
24-70 f2.8 is sorta popular (i have the sigma version and it's neat)
17-55 f2.8 is really pretty good and i'd say a better choice than the "L" 16-35

24-105 f4 i don't know anyone with it or that's used it

shawn and many others have the 17-40 f4 and it's great.

i have the canon 50mm f1.4 and 85 f1.8 and love them both.

well did Peter.

can't forget the 24 and 35mm f/1.4, and the coveted 85mm f/1.2(if your feeling squirrelly)

Brian are you jumping on the video bandwagon or are you just looking for the best of both worlds from Nikon and Canon?

Probably both, Josh. But it is a ways down the list of things that I will be purchasing in the near future.
