You remember the stuff....

Does film really expire?

What happens if you use expired film?

Is anyone interested in some....Some of it may not be expired. I have a bag full of film (Kodak and Fujifilm) mostly 100 and 200 from an auction. No one wanted it, so it cost my dad $5 to pick it up for me. I don't really feel like checking the whole bag to see if any of it is non-expired though. If anyone can use it, let me know.

Unless the expiration date is like 1976, use it and all should be good. I usually only buy expired film for my color work. Saves a bundle, and keeps ballast in my freezer.

Yup. I used a bunch of b&w film last summer that expired in 1999 and it was all fine (a bit grainier than normal, but to be expected). Depending on what conditions color film is stored, you may possibly get color shifts.

While we are on the subject: lomography.com sells expired Fuji Provia 100F for 71% more than freestylephoto.biz sells fresh stock. I smell investment opportunity.
