Sue Sojourner

Sue is an fabulous person who has done amazing photography throughout her life including a great deal during the civil rights movement down south and the local scene in Duluth.

The opening sounds like a good time. It's actually going to be an invent in itself that goes beyond the photography to touch on the civil rights movement that inspired it. www.susojourner.com/fundraiser.html

just so you know that it's not solely going to be a photography exhibit during the opening/fundraiser, and there is a suggested donation of $5.

DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT:

FEB 1-28, weekdays, 9 am - 5 pm

Sue Sojourner’s “The Some People of that Place —
1960s Holmes County, Mississippi:
The Local People and Their Civil Rights Movement”

Zeep. Her work looks good. I wish this would've come around any time during the previous 27 years that I actually lived in Duluth.

Thanks, Jason. and I'll pass the kind words from ya'll on to her via a link. And a reminder to ya'll that the opening/fundraiser is tonight from 7-10 at The Venue. It's actually going to be an event in itself that goes beyond the photography to touch on the civil rights movement that inspired it. susojourner.com/fundraiser.html

just so you know that it's not solely going to be a photography exhibit tonight, and there is a "suggested donation" of $5.

Went there today. Nice stuff! I was bummed out that they had all the chairs in front of all the pictures in the main room though. Who's ever idea it was to put the chairs there should be slapped silly. ;)

Yeah... the chairs where pushed to the walls once the music and dancing started... which rubbed me the wrong way too, but the energy of the situation sort of went that way.... hmmm... ha! I'm sure somebody will get on that if it wasn't taken care of this afternoon. Thanks for the info, and glad ya like the photos enough seen from a distance!
