Great job and best of luck -- though you guys won't need luck!

By the way, have you been able to figure out how to block Facebook from using your posted images for their own purposes? That is in their user agreement and I haven't been able to figure out where it is to tell them they can't, yet, so if you could fill me in on how to do it, that would be great!

We watermark them, and let them to use them on their facebook for word of mouth. now that we are getting done with our portfolio building, we are going to have to crack down on the watermark thing a bit better

@ Akatz,

I think your idea of watermarking you images so that you can use facebooks habit of theft to your advantage is a great idea!

By the way, if Facebook is using your images (or even posting them to Facebook or Flickr) do you have written consent from the parents? Especially on baby/children pictures.

I wrote it into their "agreement" when contracted for weddings that the images could be used in such a way and only one client opted out over the years I was doing it. You could do the same with babies/children/families. Just a thought.

Wait, what.. Facebook using our images?

There was a fuss a while back about Facebook revising their Terms of Service to let them use people's images for advertising, without their explicit consent. They eventually gave in to pressure and there is now a way to opt out, as Shawn outlined above.
