DIY wireless tether so you can shoot and send the files instantly from your camera to your PC or laptop and have them pop up instantly using your camera's tethering software or in some cases Lightroom. Holy run-on sentence batman!
It actually uses a wireless USB connection.
Sorry MAC fanbois, no worky for you. I guess they don't "just work" all the time.
1. I think this thing looks AWESOME, I'd love to have one.
2. As a Mac user, I resent the sentiment that I don't DIM. I've been known to do a bit of soldering. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the fellow everyone around here thinks should do DIY projects (Karl) is also a Mac user.
3. It is now my intent to build myself something similar, just to prove Max wrong.
(Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face.)
Brian, why wouldnt it work? Has anyone else built one? I was thinking about it, but I will need a smaller computer if I do. Im not lugging my 17inch laptop around. Unless they get good distance? Think they will work from around 10 miles apart? ;) jk
