i'm trying to see throbbing gristle in april, and don't use my digital camera much. so trying to get rid of some stuff i don't use ever.

this is a used tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens for a nikon digital mount. i've used it like 4 times, bought used. the glass is in pristine condition, nothing wrong with it at all. i'll throw in the hoya circular polarizer filter as well i got with. i'm trying to get $400 for it all.

this is the nikon mb-d200 grip for the nikon d200. its in good condition as well, no issues either. i'm selling it for 85$ (no battery though)

damn...if you put this up a month from now i'd be all over that 12-24

I'll give you $350 for the Tokina.

$350 is a bit too low... i bought it (from jules, so it has his seal of approval) probably in like november. i have only used it a handful of times since then. i'm willing to go a bit lower without the filter, because i could still used it on a different lens. sells for $490 on BH new, its in great condition!

Sorry man, I ain't giving you more than 80% MSRP on used. Good luck with the sale.

its alright. i scoured ebay forever, and finding one used under 400 was very rare...
jason@ 9 years ago
Yeah, I understand. I'll go up to $375, including the filter. No higher, though.

That battery grip won't fit a 300 will it?
noxious kettle [deleted] 9 years ago
no, i think it takes the mb-d10? @eason.jasonn i'll think the $375 over, too.

Cool. If you decide to go with it, give me a jingle. 360.286.5607

its worth 400 and every penny, it's a Circular polarizer btw i bought new at first photo for 75$

whoops. correct! i hardly use filters, so i probably just subconsciously put that from working with video in the past...

Nevermind, I don't want the C-POL. My offer still stands at $375 for just the lens. If you think you can get more, then more power to you. If you eBay it, be prepared to lose the PayPal fees and eBay listing fees. Trying to compensate for that through inflated shipping prices, or a higher list price will only up your fees and make it less attractive to potential bidders.

If you think I'm lowballing you because I'm trying to score a lens for cheap, think again. I'm going out on a limb if I buy a used lens. You said hoping to get $400. That doesn't mean to me that it's your asking price, it just means that's what you'd like to see. If it's your minimum, you should state that. As it stands, you're selling a used item. You're asking for just under 82% of current retail value. Did you pay retail? I'm offering you 76.7% of retail for the lens. That's $375 cash-in-hand. Your choice.

Guarantees that it is in excellenct condition from people I don't know aren't exactly an enticement. As I said, if you decide to take my offer, give me a jingle. If not, good luck.

sounds a bit hostile? i am only offering on here, of course i'd rather deal locally than eBay. there were two on ebay this morning (used) going for $420 buy-it-now,and they are both gone now. i don't really get into the logistics of a percentage off retail, i go by what the lens (used) is currently being sold for elsewhere. i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm just saying.

(btw, its being sold used in EX+ on KEH for $415, not including shipping...)

You shouldn't confuse my being firm with hostility. They aren't the same thing. I think I'll just pick this up new. Good luck with the sale and seeing Throbbing Gristle.

eason.jasonn What's wrong with a used lens? I'm so not in this whole discussion but I was just wondering as to why you think a used lens is going out on a limb. A good lens that is well cared for will last a lifetime.
jason@ 9 years ago
A lens is a precision instrument. It is not something I am comfortable taking someones word on, especially when I dont know them. I dont distrust alex or jules, I just dont know them. $400 is close enough to retail for me to be uncomfortable shelling out that much cash for used equipment.

it looks like your only problem is you dont trust used gear.

i know where he is coming from, though. i've gotten 'jibbed' a few times on used gear, but it usually comes at the price of getting a great deal. had an slr with a broken shutter curtain, lens with a bunch of dust in the front element, probably more... i don't think this could really happen in a situation like this. if you had a problem, you'd know what i look like and where i am. that being said, everything i own aside from a lens and a couple lightstands has been bought used. cosmetics don't mean anything to me, so as long as it does what its supposed to i'm fine with it.
