I put a gallery up with about half of the photos that I took of the local production of the play, BIRTH. The play took place in the Harbor City High School theater two weekends ago. I shot all four nights of the play, as well as some related events that Saturday. The gallery includes photos from the play (and before the play) and the talk back sessions that followed each of the productions.
Anyway, I thought I would share the gallery here if any of you are interested in checking it out. I had a hard time shooting with the theater lighting, but I am mostly happy with how the photos came out after a whole lot of processing. I shot the entire weekend with my 50mm 1.8 and the all of the play productions were shot at 800 ISO.
Josh, Karl was nice enough to borrow me his 70-200 2.8 Tamaron for the weekend and I tried to use it on opening night, but I just couldn't get it to do what I needed, so gave up and stuck with the 50mm. Thankfully I think that ended up being the right choice. The 1.8 was nice in the low light and I was able to get such tight shots that I only ended up having to crop 4-5 photos out of the 200 that I processed.
