I hear you. I have also been in a slump. I have another 6 month old shoot tomorrow night. Maybe I will try to do something different.
Got any ideas for me?
Maybe you could try some nature abstracts like this:
www.fredmiranda.com/forum/ufiles/47/266947.jpg
Basically you focus on the flowers or trees or whatever and you pan up during the exposure. Generally in the 1/2 to 2 second exposure range.
It is definitely Something different.
I used this technique with birch trees once

when i'm in a slump i go downtown and confront people i normally wouldnt. ask 'em for their story, and oftentimes fork out a few bucks to get it. i dont necessarily recommend it but, its been interesting nonetheless (and of course i get their pictures)

Sounds like it's time for you to switch gears for a while. Pick a type of photography that you're interested in and say, "I'm only going to shoot THIS kind of photos for a while." In a month or two you'll either be ready to get back to what you like best with a bunch of new skills and perspective or you'll have found something you like even more :-).

Nice!
Overcast will work fine, you want the light to be not so bright, it will allow you to get the longer exposure.
Also, try zooming in or zooming out during the exposure.

LOL -- Nate, I am close to the anniversary of my FIRST 365. That means that I am only 150+ days behind!
Search others images (Flickr explore, photogs websites, magazines, etc.) until you are sick of it. Put it all away, have some cookies and milk, and by the time you have finished the milk, I bet something will come to mind that you really want to do.

I say, find someone in the group that you like their photos and hang out with them and do a photo walk. Its always interesting to see how others go about getting their photos.
Also, to go along with what jason said, instead of picking something youre interested in, instead, pick something you arent interested in at all and try it out for a few days/weeks. Like sports photography or something. You may find something you like about it, and maybe even learn something to help you out in other areas.
