Its photo history time! This edition I'll intorduce you to another of my favorites from the 1950's O. Winston Link. All of you into this strobist trend should really appreciate his work, even if he used flashbulbs instead of strobes.

First a quick portrait of the guy with some of his DIY gear.

Secondly, some of his more famous works that are my favorites from him.

Strobist to the Max! He'd spend up to two days arranging the lighting for some scenes, and when the train would come by, fire up to three cameras at a time with sixty flash bulbs for an exposure. Makes your little two strobe set-ups seem like playthings now doesn't it? :D

I wonder what the recycle time is on those.

look at the power cords on the would have to bring a HUGE power generator to run all those things.
