How many would be willing to spend a weekend in a State Park later this summer.

I see it as an extended meeting where we can accomplish a lot of shit talking, photography (not just landscapes), hiking, beer drinking, and learning.

Express interest here and then we can figure out dates later.

Campers (back of truck) acceptable or where you thinking about hiking in someplace? Campers hold more beer... :)
Somewhere like Split Rock or some park that has camp sites and hiking trails.

Going to old La Pointe, rowing to old La Pointe...... On the rocks, on the shores of old La Pointe!

Yeah fun.

I know of a little off road tent camp area in Trego, WI.

There's a place down the road where you can rent intertubes and they'll drop you off at some point along the Namikagen (bad spelling) River so you can float the day away.

They even give you a free tube to wedge your cooler into. lol

That all depends. School is in Golden Valley after August 24th.

we will have to keep this idea alive over the summer so that it doesn't get burried.

Somewhere up the north shore would be nice, then I'd be able to find a way to get there easier!!!

There are lots of nice places up here for camping... Cascade, Judge Magney, many many random lakes...

How about if you guys get out of "town" and come up to the woods, say McCarthy Beach State Park or Scenic State park or the new "Proposed" site on Lake Vermillion. Just make sure to bring the bug dope.
