I havent sent in for prints from my negatives yet and Im wondering what the best way to size would be, without making the print look like crap.

Digital needs to be 300pixels/inch and the same size as the print you want, or so says WHCC

What I have is scanned at 2400 pixels/inch and is currently 4.5'' X 2.5''

If I want it in the 11x14 range do I need to incease my pixels/inch?

Does this make any sense? Delete?

4.5 x 2400 = 10,800 / 300 = 36 in.
2.5 x 2400 = 6000 / 300 = 20 in.

Therefore, your image is sufficient to print a 20x36 print @ 300 DPI.

11in x 300 dpi = 3300 pixels
14in x 300 dpi = 4200 pxiel.

If your scan is 3300x4200 or larger. scale down to 3300x4200.
If it is less, scale up and expect some quality loss.

WHCC is better at scaling up than we are, so I would let them do it.

Cool, so when I enlarge why can I only save as a PSB, TIFF or RAW?
