They don't charge until they ship. What will most likely happen is they will send an email stating something along the lines that there was an error and blah, blah, blah, too bad fr you, but here is this nice $50 gift certificate for your troubles.
Richard, This has been posted on extremely large forums by others before I posted it here. Having it here isn't going to hit the breaking pointnas it has already been hit. I appreciate your suggestion, but I am not going to take the post down.
Unfortunately I heard about this on a large photo forum that got it from an even larger photo forum. I didn't think posting it hear would hurt anybodies chances. I hear you and see where you are coming from though. I appreciate your input.

Do you think they even have in stock the number that have been ordered? And, does anyone in this thread buy enough from them to know if they will honor a mistaken price? It's not like this particular lens is a huge seller even though it's coveted by many of us, the rest of the Canon world would never think to buy one at any price.
I would bet they have minimal in stock and actually order them from canon if needed. The chances of them shipping is slim to none. What I am hoping to get out if it is a gift certificate or a X% off on a future purchase code.
