Well,
I went down to Lakeville to buy a Nikon SB-24 from a young couple who inherited photo equipment from his mother.
I walked out of there with the following:

Fuji S1 Pro 6mp DSLR body (Nikon Mount)
Tamron F/2.8 28-105mm lens
Reflective umbrella
2 gold/silver reflectors
1 grocery bag of misc film
1 camera backpack
1 new Nikon AS-15 hot shoe adapter thingy
1 Nikon SB-24 (has a power switch issue, needs repair)

Grand total - $80

The reason i got it so cheap is because the Camera uses AA's and 2 3volt batteries. The 3 volts were dead and they couldn't prove the camera worked. Also, the lens's front element has some scuffs because after they inherited it they lost the front cap and stored it that way.

I bought a couple 3volt batteries and voila, a working camera!

It is a mix of Kodak, Fuji, Kodak Black and white, etc....

We will see what happens, My roommate shoots film as well.

I actually forgot the bag at their house, she is mailing them to me.

Isn't the S1 one same as a Nikon D1 w/a different sensor?

nate
super high iso possibilities. i saw a test done w/ the s5 pro at 3200 iso and it was incredible. when the time comes someday to upgrade my d80, one of the fuji's might be my next move.

I think you are right Jason.

The newer Fuji SLR's have amazing Dynamic Range and built in Infrared.
This one is a bit more plain.

i dont wanna be the jerk that corrects everyone, but the s1 is based of the n80's body, and the infrared/ultraviolet fuji's are seperate models from the visible light ones...

heck of a deal!
