Do you want AF or MF?

Is money an object? If so, what is your limit.

The inexpesive, yet effective solution is the 8mm Peleng lens.
Which would be about 12-13mm on your 40d.
New around $300

Review:
Used on a 300D
www.jarnell.com/reviews/peleng/index.htm

Canon, Tokina, Sigma make Fish Eyes for Canon, but are about $200+ more.

I would think anything over 10mm would start to lose the fish eye effect on digital because of the crop factor.

Moe and HBR would be the ones to talk to as they both have fish eyes for their digis.

the only fisheyes ive used are the siggy 15mm and the nikon 10.5 dx, i liked the siggy though, it was a nice lens with a good close focus

Anyone try the ghetto screw-on ones? Obviously they arent near as good, but do they work at all?

I'm actually going to make one from a Fish's Eye. Its going to be so literal it will hurt.

I would think so, they look like the smae lens, just different sellers?

Tokina makes really good optics. If you are unsure, a quick google search on that lens whould give you some ideas on it's quality.

I bought my K10d through Beach Camera on Amamzon's Site and had fast service.

i've looked at the tokina and they do have wonderful glass. however, if i purchased a fisheye, i'd like to have it be a bit faster than 3.5...
