Whats your resolution?

Who am I?

This year I am on the path to focus my photography. Not necessarily to landscapes or portrait but to find comfort and balance in my work. To only allow my best work to be posted and to spend more time shooting. Aaron Molina... Oh and to revamp my main web page...

3600 (or more) exposures with my M3. I actually made and started this resolution in November, and am setting the goal date to be Thanksgiving 2008.

504 done in the first month, so I'm way ahead of pace. At this rate I'll end up with over 6000.

I resolve to learn off camera flash and become good enough to get a few paying portrait gigs.

I've resolved to step out of my comfort zone with my photography. I have focused so much on nature and landscape shots, and haven't spent anywhere near enough time doing portraits and other types of photography that I am interested in. Such as, I can't shoot still life for anything and I really want to be better at it.

my resolution... to continue wishing that i was better that i am. and to continue posting whatever crap i want. and to continue to NOT force you to look at it. and if i were better, and more organized, i'd have a better and more cool resolution. but just now, i am tired.

today... i was dreaming of an M3. i have a very nice flatbed scanner. with film and slide attachments. i could easily get into b&w street work again... and simply develop the film... and scan the negs... prior to any printing... but i won't. but i wish that i would.

i really suck at resolutions. so i'm not going to do anything.

I don't believe in new years resolutions. It seems they always die out...if they even get started.

But my GOAL for this year, specifically right now, is to not give up.

I will not give into people who will continue to bring me down,
I will not break when I get hard critique from educational leaders.
I will continue to work my ass off.

I'm all for the posting of crap. They can't all be masterpieces and sometimes it is just fun to show off the, well, fun stuff. It I didn't have that philosophy I would have never posted the picture of Coen covered in Nutella, and it would have never made it into Explore. ;-)

i'm going to shoot as much as i possibly can and post as much as i possibly can. i'm talking in the hundreds and hundreds

i absolutely LOVE the work of Thomas Hawk

i posted the link to his profile rather than his pics so that you could read what he has to say about photography. i feel inspired by his commitment and therefore will try to get out and shoot more and more

a lot of his stuff is just of simple things that others may pass on by, and that is the exact reason i think those photos exist...to show others what they missed

so once i get that pro account [paypal is slow] be prepared for an assault of random randeezee images

"I don't believe in new years resolutions."

I'm of a similar philosophy -- why do we need the new year to make self-improvement goals? I come up with those year 'round!

Right now I'm trying to keep myself shooting 2 1/2 rolls per week, but even if I don't feel like shooting I have to shoot one roll that week.

I'm also hoping to complete one premeditated project every three months. The meaning of that is pretty wide open; shooting a coherent collection of work, going out and shooting a preplanned event... anything more organized than just random shooting.

Shoot more. This was my resolution last year and I failed. I work anywhere from 60-70 hours a week and it's just so dang tough to get out in the daylight. It's bound to happen sooner or later.

I am the same way, I have a real difficulty photographing people. I dont know, I just feel awkward. This also has to go.
