I had been wondering how much would be missed if I had bought a 16mm wide angle vs. 12mm wide angle.

I made a pseudo test by using my kit lens at 18mm and my 24-135mm lens set at 24mm. I figured this would be a decent test to give me an idea of how much is missed by losing a few mm.

I found out that the difference is huge.

Oh, these were handheld at 0.7 seconds so they aren't the sharpest.

I think the sigma will be sitting on the shelf for a while.

poor sigma... :(

i cheated this effect with my 17-40mm canon.

i am looking at a 24mm f/1.4 and a 28mm f/1.8 and i hate that the 24mm shows so much more.

the price difference is about $700

I've got the 18-55 pentax kit lens and really miss the zoom of my old panasonic. I'm not impressed with the clarity of the kit lens but I fear I won't like any other cheap lens either. The leica lens on the FZ30 is clearer and easier to get a good shot. I see you're selling the 24-135, what are you getting?
