here's a logo i made for myself this afternoon. i've never made anything like this, so it was simply a test, a first try. any feedback is welcome, even if you hate it and tear it apart lol. thanks

It's nice, I like it. Very professional looking.

Nice and clean and clear and that is what you want. My one and only suggestion may be to take the "RC" and either make it look more hand written, or clean it up so it looks more "perfect."

Photoshop I take it? I made a myspace with a div layout, it was just a place for my pics but I never update it anymore, flickr is just easier.

thanks guys. you all give better critiques than my parents, "oh yah, it looks good". well, even if was terrible they'd still say it haha, but that's their job.

hbr...would it be a good idea for me to actually hand write the "RC" and scan that to the computer and put my handwritting in the background? in your opinion, what would look better, handwritten, or more "perfect".

max...yes it was w/ photoshop. i've only been editing pictures, etc. w/ ps and decided to explore the program a bit more.

Something I have to do as well. I have so little time. I think it looks good. I do like the idea of hand signature and scanning the image. I will have to give that a try this weekend. My thought would be... stick with just your signature and year... anything more might get in the way of a photo? Keep it small. Just my thoughts. As a logo it works great. It give you an identity..

You could certainly try to hand write it and scan it (or have somebody with calligrophy background do it for you.) One more thing-- I like the lens in your name, try adding the aperture blades in it as well, maybe??

hbr...thanks for your input. as of the thrid picture, that is actually my own handwritting in the background. i just signed my name on a piece of paper, took a picture of it, and then only used the "R" and the "C" for my initials.

and i tried doing something w/ the aperature blades, but after having to shrink the picture down so much, there was just a bit too much going on in the inside of the lens. i picked the picture w/ the ring open all the way to make it look as much like an "O" as possible.

once again..thank you everybody for your opinions, and if you have more to say...please go ahead!
