How do you get your images to say, "all rights reserved" instead of "public" when posting them? Any and all help is much appreciated. I have tried to edit the licensing as well as upload option with no luck.

I you upload a photo there should be a way to Select the license. If not in the upload you can later click on the photo and then click on Additional Information (edit) there you can change the rights of you photos. Hope this helps. I had to did around a bit to find it but it's there.

All right, here is what I know: I have gone to the "licensing" of an image and went through testing all of the licensing options:

Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Creative Commons
Attribution-NonCommercial Creative Commons
Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs Creative Commons
Attribution Creative Commons
Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons
Attribution-NoDerivs Creative Commons

and none just post it as "all rights reserved" with a copyright symbol (it still says "this photo is public" after the copyright symbol.

Now I do have "Anyone" checked under the "Who can see this photo," but by my understanding, if I check the other, it is hidden and that can't be the way you guys have it set.

Does this have anything to do with my account being a 'free' account?

Could be.. I also wonder if it take some time to change. I also noticed some delay in mine changing over... You might want t search the the HELP link at the top. I have figured out a few things there. I think you might need to let it sit for a while. I seem to remember mine taking a day to switch over? I wouldn't make you photo private unless you don't care about people finding you and admiring your work. Also if you worried about people stealing your photos only upload a smaller version so if they do take it they won't have a full res image. Hope this helps. Aaron

I believe the default is "all rights reserved" and you can modify that to various licensing types. Public; has nothing to do with licensing, but with who can view your images. Switching it to private means you have to choose to opt-in everyone you want to be able to see your image. Neither of these affects the rights you hold in regard to your photos. You can set your default differently here "You > your account > Privacy & permissions > What license will your photos have"

Thanx both of you, unfortunately, my problem is this:

Both of you have images posted that say underneath them (after the copyright symbol) "All rights reserved" -- This is what I want, but I currently see, "This photo is public."

Since they are my images, am I seeing a different message as everybody else? If you see the "public" statement as I do, I would like that changed. Any suggestions for that?

Thanx and sorry for being such a bother!

All of you photos say "All rights reserved". Probably you should logout from your flickr account and take a look at your photo again.

you have some nice photos there hbrstudios, and yeah, what Granitoid said above, everything of yours says all rights reserved.

Ok I see now. I just looked at mine and the only way you will see the "all rights reserved" is when your not logged into you own account. It is what everyone else is seeing. Thats kind of lame? oh well.
