Is there any mathematical proportions that you use to arrange the photos in a triptych? I normally take the reference of the biggest photo, usually also the one that sets the topic, and I arrange the rest of them according to its measure
There are no set mathematical rules or proportions that I'm familiar with concerning Diptychs and Triptychs. Obviously these forms of combining images date back to paintings that are hundreds of years old. Usually when working with these forms I try and form a thread between / amongst the images. Juxtaposition and related information I feel is very important to this type of image.
