ALL lenses will WORK with your d60...but do you want manual focus or autofocus
i'm guessing you're talking about a 35mm af maybe an f/2? or f/1.4?? either way if it's af it won't autofocus on the d60....if you're looking for autofocus on a d60 look for nikon's af-s lenses or sigmas hsm lenses as for tokina and tamron just make sure and read the specs before you buy any of those if you care about autofocus

I was thinking he committed suicide because the lens didn't AF on the right spot, and the MF ring sucked. As well as auto exposure messing everything up.

He's probably laying in a gutter somewhere muttering to himself about all the birds he missed trying to decipher the VR settings and figure out whether to use "tripod mode" when shooting with his monopod.

Or.... perhaps he stared "down the barrel" of his 55-200VR trying to become "one with the lens", when the AF motor in shot the front element up at him and knocked him out cold. Payback's a bitch! They heard he was talkin' smack.

Okay, this is awesome. I'm gone for four hours and people simultaneously create a religion for me and predict my demise.

For the record, I was at a class. I'm using my staff fee waiver to take a photo course; this time it's "Beginning Pro." What this meant tonight was a bit of pre-class "film's not dead" evangelism followed by a discussion of film types (black and white/colo neg/color slide/etc.) and the various properties of certain emulsions.

I learned some things about the relationship between contrast, acutance, and grain. Good times had by all. : )

I'm pro-autofocus ...

Never know when it can come handy.... And I'm of the opinion of "let machines friking do it" :)
