Group DescriptionThe Museum of English Rural Life houses the most comprehensive national collection of objects, books and archives, together with over 1 million images, relating to the history of food, farming and the countryside.
Part of the photographic collection has been digitised by the Digitisation of Countryside Images Project, which was funded by JISC as part of the Enriching Digital Resources programme, a strand of the Digitisation programme. The project digitised, catalogued and made available 13 000 images from the Farmers Weekly and Farmer and Stockbreeder Collections.
This is an opportunity for anyone with photographs relating to the countryside to share them with the Countryside Images group.
