If there were a phrase to sum up what this group is about, it would be "inner peace." The most wonderful, the most valuable kind of peace of them all is the peace that is in one's own heart -- it is so very difficult to come by.
Consider this a place of inner peace, expressed in photography.

I believe photography is a spiritual exercise as well as creative. Through photography, we can see the world in a way that we would never see it
with our eyes alone, and we can share our visions with others to behold and appreciate.
This group is for photos that transcend space and time, that bring us to the realm of the transcendent, where beauty, peace, joy, and tranquillity are the norm.
This is a place for those photographs that have a spiritual element to them. it might be difficult to describe or define, but there is something about the photo that goes far beyond the simple subject matter portrayed.
Most of all, we are looking for photographs that have calming, peaceful theme, or one of joy and love (not silliness or infatuation), this group is a sacred place of meditation and contemplation, and the photos within this group should further that goal.
Pictures that are tranquil, mystical, zen-like, and simple will find a good home.
If you think you have a picture that has a spiritual quality to it, post it here for all to enjoy, and even meditate upon.
Since it so difficult to describe EXACTLY what a "spiritual" image is, please browse the group first, to get a good idea of the type of photographs were after.
While one would think this type of photography would be for nature shots only, we're interested in seeing photos from a wide variety of subject
matter: urban, industrial, certain types of portraits, transportation, food, and whatever else. Subject matter isn't so important as the mood it conveys.
Think of this a nice sanctuary to come visit time to time, where the "slide show" feature can be well used. And I recommend something like Beethoven's 6th Symphony for musical accompaniment.
And yes, if you think you have a video that fits these criteria, you are welcome to post it as well.
Thank you.
