Group Description
The Conley Camera Company of Rochester, MN, was never a major player compared to giants like Kodak and Ansco, but thanks to Sears, Roebuck & Co, their products were popular and widespread. For about two decades, from 1908 to 1927, Conley supplied virtually all of the cameras sold through the Sears catalog. One most often encounters their Kewpie box cameras, but Conley also made high-end mahogany and cherry plate cameras and view cameras, and collaborated with the Mayo Clinic on several specialty medical cameras.Whether you love using your Kewpie box camera, or have revived a stately view camera, or just display it on a shelf, show us your Conleys and the pictures you take with them.
