Drag to set position!

CoffeeGeek ADMIN May 31, 2007
Was your photo removed from the group pool recently? It's not because it was a bad photo! In fact, many of them were just superb.

It was because your photo contravened one of the core guidelines for this group:
- Photos that have been cross-posted to any other coffee-related groups will be removed. Please help us keep this group unique.

- Photos with hundreds of tags that appear in dozens of other groups will be mercilessly removed.

Group Description

Coffee is the most powerful beverage on the planet and is surpassed only by oil in raw dollars of global trade. Yet the true potential and beauty of coffee often is lost or taken for granted. Share your coffee photos, explore the bean in its many forms, and use the discussion forums to share coffee knowledge and further ascend toward full-blown coffee geekdom.

GUIDELINES FOR POSTING TO THE POOL...

- Photos that have been cross-posted to any other coffee-related groups will be removed. Please help us keep this group unique from the many other coffee/espresso/cafe/caffeine themed groups.

- Photos with hundreds of tags that appear in dozens of other groups will be mercilessly removed (shame on you).

- Photos of random $tarbucks/hortons etc. coffee cups or empty coffee mugs lacking in any narrative or artistry will be unceremoniously removed.

- Repeat offenders will be booted from the group and forced to drink decaf for the rest of their lives.

Group Rules

a few simple rules:

1) the photo should be about coffee. this is not a dumping ground for any photo taken in a cafe or with a coffee mug somewhere in the background.

2) photos of cups and logos from big chains will probably be deleted unless they are photographically awesome or unusually clever. There are other brand-specific groups better suited to those images.

3) contributed photos should not also be cross-posted to other coffee-related groups. There are many coffee related groups on flickr and we'd like to keep this group pool distinct.

Please enjoy the pool and comment on photos you like. If you have coffee related questions from beans to brewing the discussion pages are a great place to seek advice.
