Archive class 40 photos only, no preserved shots please.

The amount of photos of preserved class 40's has got to the point where it feels like we are just seeing the same thing over again. They offer very little variety in the group. It is also apparent the preserved class 40 photos attract little interest with regards comments or interaction.

Occasionally there will be a few excellent quality photos preserved machines. And we will make an exception for these and allow them into the group.

Hi Guys *Please note a polite request :)
Archive class 40 photos only, no preserved shots please.

As much as we all love the 40's, and thank heavens we have them preserved to still see them in the flesh, and hear them once again. I think the amount of photos of preserved class 40's has got to the point where it feels like we are just seeing the same thing over and over again. They offer very little variety in the group. Having run groups for several years, it is also apparent the preserved class 40 photos attract little, to no interest with regards comments or interaction.

We can all see the preserved engines at any time, there are thousands of photos of them available on the internet, and I'd rather we concentrated on the 40's that are long since gone, and the scenes of yesteryear that we won't see again. There are other 40 groups on facebook with an abundance of preserved engines for those who want to see them.

Occasionally there will be a few unique shots, and excellent quality photos and videos of the preserved machines. And we will make an exception for these and allow them into the group. It would be foolish not to.

We will of course still bring you all the latest 40 news, railtours, and other related stories about the preserved machines.

**Moderating photo submissions will be kept to an absolute minimum. However it will happen occasionally, and if any of your photos are declined, then please don't feel offended. This is really only to keep groups interesting and interactive for all. Quality is far better than quantity**

*Please no HDR or heavily manipulated, or colour saturated photos*

Group Rules

Hi.

Thanks for joining the Class Forty Appreciation Society.

Please note.
The group is a submissions approval group, and due to the plentiful supply of preserved Class 40 photos submitted to the group, a few of these will occasionally be rejected to keep the group photo pool a wide and varied mix.

Cheers!
