I've changed the group rules in "only photos" because FlickR is a photo community. I hope you're not angry about me now; but I think it's the best.

Greetings from Germany; Luc

Group Description

Pictures of pre-Medieval, Medieval and post-Medieval Towers, Lighthouses, Castles, Fortresses, and especially remnants thereof fit nicely in this group...

I realize Europe has great castles and a medieval past, but I'm curious to see other continents and countries past architecture.

Also, I'm excluding things like TV Towers, Radio Antennae or Towers - essentially very modern structures. If a castle was only built a few years ago, that's fine, as long as it radiates the 'old' feeling. Furthermore, please no cg images, nor images taken on the grounds, next to the grounds, above the grounds, in the grounds, or around the grounds of a castle, fortress, palace, ruin, etc that don't actually show the actual castle, fortress, palace, ruin, etc... This includes completely interior shots that show nothing but a wall or a statue and not the actual structure itself.

Any submissions that don't fit into this group will be removed and a link and/or comment posted in a 'removed' thread. These pictures are always up for discussion if you disagree with their removal.
