I know that every lense has a "sweet spot". I was wondering how image quality at 2.8 compares to other openings such as 8 or 10, which seems to produce the best results with cheaper lenses.
What have you noticed at 22?
I just purchased this lense and am still becoming familiar with it.
Thanks,

Stopping down any lens will improve sharpness to a point... However if you stop down a lens to something like f/22 you won't be as sharp.

Your probably sharpest between f/5.6-f/11 but someone who has more knowledge can probably add more specific info....

I find myself shooting at f/8 a lot when shooting headshots.

I am giving my personal experience, and f/8 seems to be my sweetspot, especially portraits with strobes.
