Group DescriptionMany historic buildings in England, although protected under Grade I and II* listed status or as Scheduled Ancient Monuments are at risk through neglect and decay.
English Heritage places these on the Buildings at Risk register.
This group is for pictures and discussions of these neglected buildings in the hope it sparks interest and activism, and to create a photographic archive of them before they decay further.

Group RulesHello, welcome to our Buildings at Risk Flickr Group.
Photos submitted to this group must be of buildings on the English Heritage Buildings at Risk Register (BAR).
It would also be really helpful if you could put a link to the specific entry on the BAR database that refers to the building in your picture.
When you join this group (as with joining any Flickr group) you're agreeing to allow English Heritage to display your photos on our website, using Flickr's gallery/badge tool which allows any website owner to create a gallery using public images from Flickr. This displays a small thumbnail of the image, within the gallery, which links through to the photo on Flickr.
You can see an example of this here: www.english-heritage.org.uk/about/news/industrial-heritag...
When you upload your photos to Flickr you're always agreeing to allow this unless you change your default privacy and sharing settings. We're using our group rules to raise awareness of this, in case you see your photo on our website at a later date and are surprised by it.
Most people are happy for us to share their photos in this way and allow a wider audience to enjoy them. You remain the copyright owner of your photos.
By agreeing to these rules you're confirming the following:
- any photo posted on the group is your own original work
- you own copyright
- you're entitled to make it available as set out above and
- its use will not give rise to any third party claims or breach any UK laws.
Many thanks for reading these rules. Have fun, and thanks for joining.
