Group DescriptionPhotos and information about bee-friendly trees and shrubs, as well as vines and herbaceous plants. Our emphasis is on plants that provide forage for honey bees (Apis mellifera), but we're also curious about other pollinators such as wasps, butterflies and moths, flies, and other species of bees.
In any conversation of native species, exotics and invasives, the "home ground" is the Mid-Atlantic part of the U.S., in the broader region of the eastern United States. Group members are welcome from anywhere. We may also remember that honey bees are an introduced species in this area.
