Steven & Debra Cheshire Wildlife Photos ADMIN January 3, 2016
Pics of butterflies, moths & their lifestages may be posted on this group. Photos of captive bred butterflies & non-native species that do not occur naturally in the British Isles will not accepted. All photos submitted will be verified. I'd rather be outside seeing real butterflies than looking at photos so please be patient. I always favourite the best images too!

Best wishesSteve (www.britishbutterflies.co.uk)

Group Rules

Thank you for your interest in joining the British Butterflies Flickr Group. Please read the simple rules below before joining to avoid any disappointment that one or more of your images are not accepted in to the group.

FOLLOWING ISSUES SURROUNDING THE RELEASE OF PROTECTED NATIVE SPECIES AND THE ILLEGAL RELEASE OF NON-NATIVE SPECIES IN TO THE WILD IN THE UK DURING 2014, WE NO LONGER ACCEPT PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN IN CAPTIVITY OF NON-NATIVE OR PROTECTED SPECIES. THIS GROUP IS HERE TO PROMOTE PHOTOGRAPHIC FIELD SKILLS OF WILD NATIVE BUTTERFLIES IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT.

1. IMAGE QUALITY: All images submitted to this group are moderated before being accepted. Please do not be disappointed if some of you images are not approved. Our aim is to ensure that only good quality images are submitted and encourage members to improve their photographic skills. Blurred or low quality images, including shots from 'strange' angles will not be accepted.

2. ONLY UK NATIVE/NATURALLY OCCURRING SPECIES: All images posted to this group must be of butterflies which naturally occur wild in Britain.

3. LIFE STAGES: You may post images of life stages (egg, caterpillar, chrysalis) but you must state if these images have been taken in the wild or in captivity in the title. They must be of the life-stages of BUTTERFLIES!!

4. HABITATS: Photographs of butterfly habitats are also welcome so long as a site location and county is provided in the description. Please do not post images of sensitive/private sites which are not open to the public as these images will not be accepted.

5. NO TROPICAL BUTTERFLY HOUSE PICS: Photographs taken at Tropical Butterfly Houses are not acceptable.

6. SPECIES NAMES: All images must include in their title the correct Common Name for the species. I may post a message to help correct identifications but in most instances, missing or incorrect naming will result in the image being refused.

By submitting images to this group, you agree to allow your images via the Flickr XML feed to be shown on the British Butterflies web site home page and on our Flickr page at: www.britishbutterflies.co.uk/asp/flickr.asp.
