Group DescriptionA group for pictures where an advertising billboard or poster provides a backdrop for an image and appears to interact in some way with the real world in front of it.
Ideally, the poster's border(s) shouldn't be in shot, or at least not immediately obvious. Ideally you want people to see the whole image, think it is one thing and then realise what is really going on... an "Oh... I see, it's a poster." moment. Somebody left a comment on one of the photos in the pool in which they described it as "real-life photoshopping." I like that description. We're looking for "real life photoshopping."
Lots of people submit photos that feature billboards but in a way that immediately strikes you as, "yep, that's a billboard.". Which isn't really what the group is about. On the other hand, it's not a competition. There'll be no shiny gifs posted on people's photostreams and the person with the most photos in the group doesn't win anything.
I'm certainly not bothered about trying to attract hundreds of members, I don't care if the group remains tiny, I'd rather have a small but consistently surprising pool.
- This group will count toward the photo's limit (60 for Pro members, 30 for free members)
- Accepted content types: Photos, Images
