PORTRAITURE:

FLORA:
My First Droplets

HAMSTER (PETS):
Falling Asleep

Portraiture and flora are my two favorite subjects; however, I'm better at portraits than I am w/ nature. I enjoy portraiture because I can be as creative as I want. I know that every picture I take will always be different.

My other favorite subject is my Hamster, Alfie :)

Landscapes, seascapes, sunrises or sunsets and of course my Gherkin. I don't have much opportunity to get out and shoot as often as I like, so I guess I am lucky to have a cat who doesn't mind his picture being taken. I have received so many comments on this picture of him that it almost pains me to tell them that in it he is actually cleaning my blood from his claws. That punk.

Portraits, still-life/long exposure and the feline companion. My portraits have, to date, been focussed on streetscenes; as noted by Crazy Cabbie above, the time just isn't there to go out and shoot as often as desired!

Flowers, the countryside and visiting historical places - be it Houghton Mill (as above), or the Rollright Stones. Flowers are easiest, because I can just go into the garden!

I don't have a favourite subject. I'll just shoot whatever I can point my lens at. I wind up with macro, with portraits, with animals -- whatever I see.

I live in San Francisco, so the many landmarks here (such a photogenic city!) get a lot of my attention, and as cliché as it is the Golden Gate Bridge in particular. I particularly like shooting at night doing long exposures too. And I seem to really love shooting seascapes too, especially at night. I think the reason the night time / long exposure shots appeal to me is that you get to see things that you don't see with the naked eye.

What a fantastic topic to discuss ;)
I love photographing people. I love the drama, the emotions and it raises a thousand questions about whats going on in their minds.

For me photography is about trying to understand humanity. My favourite subject therefore is people, in unusual situations or at those "decisive moments".

Some of my shots are personal so the story behind this one is what makes it a fav. This is climbing Mt St helens and it reminds me to fight when things get tough

I like to photograph just about anything, but I tend to lean more towards portrait. I love how different everyone can be and how life's precious moments can be held onto by a photograph.

I, too, am still trying to find my favorite subject. I'm still experimenting and shooting EVERYTHING to figure it out. So far I have little to no experience with portraiture, but would like to try it, especially with my new 85 1.8.

1) animals
Butch.

not sure why, but i find trying to capture animals a good challenge. once you finally do get a good picture it's a great sense of accomplishment. plus they're so cute!

2) Anything Music Related!

Paramore1.
Amplifier.

Music is another one of my passions: i sing and play guitar every day. I love capturing live music and trying to put the feeling of the show in the picture!
