Group Description

This group documents the wetlands of the province of BC in Canada.

We recognize that a large part of environmental stewardship is in the appreciation of natural spaces. With this in mind, we will feature photographs that you've proudly taken of both natural and constructed wetlands, their flora and fauna, concerns and remediation work, and wetland stewardship initiatives.
*Your wetland images feature bogs, fens, marshes, swamps and riaparian areas (this does not include images of lakes, creeks, rivers and ponds unless they feature the wetland shoreline).

Note: The latest image to be added to the group will constantly appear at the bottom of our BCWF Wetland Education Program stewardship website and blog: BCWF Bog Blog . Furthermore, we'll select a feature image each week that will be posted to the top of our blog for the week.

Group Rules

Please follow these rules before adding photos to our group:

1. Your photographs will be of a wetland located in British Columbia, Canada. Wetlands include: bogs, fens, marshes, swamps and riaparian areas. Please do not post images of lakes, creeks, rivers and ponds unless they feature the wetland shoreline.
It may include flora/fauna, environmental concerns/remediation, stewards.

2. It should be an original photograph, of stellar quality, that you're proud of.

3. Your photographs will be labelled with the location of the wetland (preferably geotagged onto our map of BC!) and a description of what is depicted. Wetlands include: swamps, marshes, bogs, fens, ponds and riparian areas.

4. The latest image to be added to the group will be featured at the bottom of our website bcwfbogblog.com/ and will be constantly updated (real time). Keep checking to see who is featured!

5. Each Friday we select a "Wetlands of British Columbia Photo of the Week" which will have a week-long position at the top of our blog. This gives you more incentive to make the image educational with a good description attached!
