celebrating the creation of the nullarbor wilderness protection area, this pool is the place for your photographs of what will become the WPA (that's the nullarbor national park and a large chunk of the nullarbor regional reserve to the north - i've included a map as the first image in the set for those who aren't sure!)

the WPA will preserve as wilderness 900 000 hectares of the 250 000km2 nullarbor plain - the world's largest karst (limestone) landscape - and adjacent coastal cliffs and dune-fields

a great move on the part of the state government, and a tremendous community lobbying effort, particularly on behalf of The Wilderness Society

NOTE: technically, the whale-watching platform at the head of the bight is NOT in the new WPA!
