NOTE: If Flickr is beyond your techincal skills, email your photo and details to Heather at email@example.com. We will post it here for you!
How do I post my pictures?
Title your photos with "monthnameABS". Your entry MUST be titled/tagged with ABS to be accepted into the gallery. In your photo descriptions, list your name, website or blog, and the name of the artist who created your art beads, if possible. Also, please feel free to give a description or story behind your entry.
Upload your pictures to your Flickr album. Then send them to the Art Bead Scene group by clicking on the photo, finding the "send to group" icon above the photo, and selecting Art Bead Scene, which will show up as an option if you are a member of the group.
What qualifies as an art bead?
An art bead is a bead, charm, or component made by an independent artist. With art beads, you usually know the name of the artist or the studio. Art beads are not imported, mass produced goods.
Any handmade object qualifies. This challenge is open to jewelry-makers, fiber artists, collage artist, etc. Beads by themselves DO NOT qualify. Pendants that are simply strung on a cord or chain will no longer qualify.
Your entry can feature art beads created by you or someone else. Each entry has to have at least one art bead.
What can I win, and how do you choose the winner?
We are doing things a little different this month. Instead of a prize we are featuring our favorite submissions on the Art Bead Scene Blog. Each week an editor will pick a photo from the month's entries as the Featured Designer of the week. All the entries for that theme qualify each week. Featured Designers will be posted on Monday.
How can I help promote Art Bead Scene, and show off my creations at the same time?
If you have a blog, post your entry and a link to the Art Bead Scene challenge to spread the beady goodness!
We reserve the right to deny any pictures that do not follow the guidelines above, without notice.
